What a Pear!

My second post for today. This is my entry in the Outlawz Thursday POM 'Embossing' challenge. To mix things up a bit I used a Cuttlebug folder and "embossing paste"! The polka dot pear is sticky back fabric and the yellow pear is embossing paste colored with various Brilliance inks.

Outlawz Sunday CAS May 8th

CAS0508 Sunday CAS
Kraft, Pearls & Flowers

Found this very muted DP in my stash of paper that worked perfectly with kraft cardstock. Love the softly faded roses on this paper. Stamped my greeting in the plaid border (part of the dp) and added a silk rose (made from ruffled ribbon) with a sprig of die cut leaves, lightly inked. Some pearls at the top and a CAS from me. WOW!

Pom505 Thursday's POM
a Mother's Day card
Thursday 5/05's POM challenge - "a never seen before new Mother's Day card". Well, I'm in love with this Dutch Iris stamp set from Heartfelt Creations so this card combines the die cut Iris and the overall background stamp. The background was inked using Memento Ink Pens and lightly spritzed with water then stamped on water color paper. The Iris was cut from purple and snowy vellum papers and paper pieced to depict the multi-toned irises. Added some white glaze pen and inking on the back of the pieces. It is attached to an oval highlighted in dandelion ink. Both the oval, the iris & the sentiment are attached to the card with foam dimensionals.

Or-ange You . . .

(above card was submitted for Outlawz Tues Color Challenge)

The Tuesday Color Challenge over at the Outlawz is to use orange, black or brown, a neutral AND a piece of twine. I like both of these cards. Each is a very different take using the challenge colors. First up is a floral image inked in varying colors of orange. The sentiment is stamped in Cocoa Brown ink. The border is a piece of frayed hemp. Second up is a black/orange & cream card. The DP is very close to the patterned swag in the inspiration photo. The paper doily was sponged with Distress Ink Orange Marmalade. The center image was stamped on a piece of acrylic using orange Staz-On ink. My 'twine' is the black with bits of orange baker's twine encircling the focal image. The bling a smokey grey Zva flourish. Oh which do I post for the challenge as we're only allowed one. HELP!
