Wood Panel

My second submission to the Stampin' B's

The challenge was to use black, brown and ivory. I just love these colors and before I knew it, I had 3 cards made! I've used a black card base, with dp in brown & black with a floral image stamped on wood veneer panel and the sentiment on an ivory rectangle. Added a few black matt finish gems.

Stampin' B's - #120 Black, Brown & Ivory

paper - black & brown card stock (Bazzill); dp (Jillibean), wood veneer
ink - Cottage Ivy & Rosebud (Memento pens), Tuxedo Black (Memento ink pad)
stamps - Fanciful Florals (GKDesigns)
other - black gems, die (Nesties Deckled Rectangles)

Be of good Courage . . .

Made this for a dear couple having a rough time. I used the GKD Farm Life stamp set and the sentiment is Fanciful Floral also a GKD set. Stamped the images on a piece of wood veneer, lightly colored with Prisma pencils then inked the edges with Vintage Photo distress ink. Mounted the image on black then on dark brown. Added a few black nail heads and done.

A Cheery Challenge

I may have said this before "I love flowers"! And enjoy making them. Today I felt like making 'fussy' flowers, flowers that are a lot of work when you start from scratch. These pinwheels were previously painted with H2O's and punched out. So the assembly went much quicker. Laying the floss stems however. . . that was work! as was, cutting teeny tiny leaves. I'm entering this is several challenges.

Blue Dogwood

I'm back from a quick trip to the Midwest (northern IL & southern WI) to see family. We had beautiful weather sandwiched between their extreme heat and terrible storms!
Good to be home in FL!

My card today is based on challenge to "use stamps" to create a background DP, image & sentiment. So here's my attempt at following the guidelines. I needed a bit of bling so the small dogwood flowers were punched from card stock that was sprayed with Ranger's Perfect Pearls Mists Sunflower Sparkle & Perfect Copper on top of a base of 'direct to paper' distress inks; Tea Dyed, Antique Linen & Dried Marigold. Then I stamped the small flower in Bahama Blue and punched out the flowerettes. Added some pearls and gems - what do you think?

Last But Not Least Challenge -  #LBNL6 - Make a stamped background

Outlawz CAS Sunday - Something Old, Something New & Something Blue

Ink- Memento bahama blue, rich cocoa; Distress Inks, tea dyed, antique linen, dried marigold
Shimmer- Ranger's Perfect Pearls Mists Sunflower Sparkle & Perfect Copper
Stamps - Waltzingmouse Asian Garden & Asian Garden Additions
Misc- pearls, gems, Sakura clear star pen, Bazzill card stock

Happy 4th of July

Happy 4th of July everyone!
This is my first 4th of July card! Hope you like it. I think it could also be a birthday card for someone born on July 4th. The stars were run through the crimper after being stamped with WMS Musical Backgrounds using Distress Inks. The swirl flourish was embossed on the card base with sparkly clear embossing powder but it didn't twinkle enough for me, so I added some Star Dust stickles to everything! Now it sparkles appropriately. Pic doesn't do it justice.

FYI... I will be on vacation for 2 weeks so my next post will be around July 15th.
Have a safe holiday!

Supplies used:
Stamps: Waltzing Mouse Musical Backgrounds and Asian Garden Additions (sentiment); Hero Arts Bold Flourish
Ink: T.H. Distress inks
Paper: Bazzill card stock
Other: Star Dust stickles; Spellbinders Stars dies; various colors of embossing powder (unknown maker)
