Cactus anyone?

This is a belated birthday card for a dear friend. The cactus is embossing paste that I made awhile back. It's crackle paste colored with various Brilliance inks. Looks pretty cool I think. The background dp's are bucking broncos and rows of barbed wire. My friend loves southwestern/western motifs so she was thrilled with this card, even tho I am 2 weeks late.

supplies:
paper-bazzill card stock; dp (creative imaginations, j.q. outdoors scrapbook collection)
ink-brilliance (various colors)
other-dreamweavers (embossing paste, template)

Merry Christmas

I wasn't thrilled with my first version of the galloping horses so I remade it. I've made the card 5.5" x 7" so I could change the layout a bit. I added scenery behind the horses and stamped snowflakes on the outer edge of the base card.  I embossed the green layer in the large snow flakes ef and the horses were embossed with paste. This panel was put through a crimper prior to being cut with a nesties small rectangle die. The greenery behind the poinsettia was sprayed with gold perfect pearl mists to give them some shimmer. The sentiment was cut with a Quikutz die. I then sprayed Perfect Pearl Mists- Pearl over the whole card to give the effect of a snowstorm.  IRL this card real shimmers! To me it's a totally new card so I am submitting to a couple of challenges.

Wise Men...

Here's a Christmas card I did as a special order. I love the way this one turned out. It's difficult to see in the pic but it's all shimmery...the ornament resembles one of the old German hand blown white glass ornaments. Trust me, in person this is gorgeous. My customer was waiting so I had to rush to take the pic with my phone so it's not a sharp as it should be... Well, back to my card orders. Have a good evening!

Supplies:
paper- bazzill card stock; photo paper
stamps- heartfelt creations (wise men ornament)
dies- spellbinders (heirloom ornament 2011)
ink- staz-on; dew drop brilliance; Ranger's alcohol ink
misc- gold cord; cuttlebug ef

Christmas Box

WOW! November already?! Time sure flew by while I've been knee deep in filling Christmas card orders.  I'm taking a little break, while on break I made this box for a challenge. (short break LOL)

This Christmas box is for the challenge over At Joan's Gardens,
the challenge:
■ Use Selma's new technique for creating a box
■ Use a band around the box
■ Use Christmas Paper (Graphic 45 if possible)
■ Decorate the pull off band.

So I followed Selma's technique for making this pizza box so the front edge doesn't show any cut lines. (see above pic) I used Graphic 45 Christmas Emporium paper (same as Selma, didn't realize till I took the pic)  My band is a 1.5" wide crinkled silk ribbon and attached to the ribbon is a Fleur di Lis square with 3 Christmas trees and my greeting. Enjoy.
