Catching Up. . .

Bringing you up to date on my last couple of weeks...
The first pic is my one only bag/tag book. It's made out of white lunch bags. This is a group photo trying to show the book and all of the tags that go in it and the tags that are in the tags. I don't know how some of the DTs take such great group shots....it wasn't easy to get all this in one pic! Anyway, this was my gift to a great friend and fellow crafter - my "Big Sis".

The second pic is my Shepherd Scene Christmas card which I think turned out so COOL! I CASEd a card from the Heartfelt Creations blog and when I find the DT's name I will add it to this post to give her proper credit. I am in love with these Ranger Liquid Pearls Mists! Sunflower Sparkle and Perfect Pearl were used on this card.
(Edited: My inspiration was a card made by Heartfelt Creations DT - Heidi Erickson)
And lastly, is a Thank You card gift set. I had a great group pic for this but my computer hiccuped and poof -  gone! The bird on a branch die is from QuicKutz.
(Edited: found a group pic of this card set.)

Well, there you have my projects from the past 2 weeks. Sorry I don't have a complete supplies list for you I get to creating and forget to write down what I've used. If you have any questions feel free to send me an email request. I'm froggydesigns3@yahoo.com

the 'Last' Christmas card

The last challenge At Joan's Gardens is to make a "quick" Christmas card. This is quick for me. Ran white card stock thru swirly ef stamped HC trees in the middle. Added a touch of distress inks and some stickles. While that dried cut a sentiment tag. Mounted all onto green card which had been previously cut. Done!

The Last One!

Here it is MY LAST CHRISTMAS card for 2011!!!! I think this stamp is adorable. The image was colored with Prisma pencils and I did not use gamsol as I wanted the pencil lines to add texture. The background was embossed with Christmas Ribbons ef using the the Fancy Frames so the center was not embossed. I used red chenille to frame it yet again. There's distress stickles on the trees and stickles on the holly.

MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone!

supplies:
paper- bazzill
ef- swirly frame (cuttlebug)
stamp- heartfelt creations (snowy window scene)
other- prisma pencils; ranger stickles (red, patina, star dust, d.i. shabby shutters); red chenille string

Holly Christmas

My next to the last Christmas card for this year. After making so many cards to fill orders my brain was drained, so I've another CASEd card to share with you tonight. These dies are also part of the set that I used to make the Christmas Gate (see below). My inspiration/CASE is a card made by Heidi Erickson/Stamp Shoppe Creations. You can see her card here. She fussy cut her holly AND the swirls! I was lucky to cut the holly leaves without losing a few! lol So I dug around in my dies to find some that would give me the overall appearance of her card. (I see now that I should have embossed the label that's under the holly. oh well 20/20 hindsight. :D) I like the end results and I'm submitting this to

Christmas Gate

I've yet another Christmas card to share with you tonight. This is my CASE of a Glenda Brooks/MagPie's Corner tag that I just love! You can see her tag here. My CASE is a card that opens in the back. I used the Christmas Ribbons e.f. on my white background and cut the top gate portion with the Heartfelt Creations Layered Elegant Swirl die. My wreath is made from T.H.'s Movers & Shaper's Ivy die and the sprigs are from another HC set called Bella Rose. My triple bow is fuzzy yarn and baker's twine. The photo is at an odd angle trying to eliminate shadows from the bow. I am submitting this to:

Tag #1 Lace Snowflake

submitting to:

Joan's Gardens Challenge #12 - Christmas tags

All three tags were made using parts and pieces left over from other projects or items i was practicing with (vellum flowers for instance). Some of the pieces have been hanging around my work desk for awhile so i do not remember the exact die, ink or ef that was used. Let's just say all supplies are from my stash. LOL

I've made 2 more tags for this challenge. In fact, the very first tag I've ever made is tag #3. please scroll down to see all the goodies.

tag #3 Village Rose

For my first tag creation i've used tim holtz tag in a tealish green, inked the edge with his new distress ink , embossed the christmas village a leftover piece of white card stock which had been sprayed with ranger's liquid pearl mists, used the new .... distress ink to highlight the village. added a piece of snowflake embossed spruce green card stock under the village. at the top is a bella rose flourish cut from graphic 45 holly paper, a leaf spray with stickles and a vellum rose. (saw selma's blog about vellum flowers and had to try. the only vellum i had has blue baby footprints on it (yuck) but once cut and painted with h2o  (silver & pink) on the back side you can't see the footprints. (yea) a few drops of teal liquid pearls and a teal 1/8" velvet ribbon tie and wa-la my first tag! I am entering this in:
