Hey there bloggers, Sorry I've been away for awhile. Would be nice to say I've been traveling to far off places but alas only as far as the newest leak......
Is it February yet?! lol
I was going to enter this card in Joan's Gardens Challenge #3 but it's not a birthday card, ugh. Any who, I just received this adorable ODBD (Our Daily Bread Designs) set of stamps and die. ODBD uses small holes/dots to help you line up the die with your image. To do this you get a clear acrylic piece that you line up. It's still a bit difficult as the etched outline has no color and you can't really see it on your image. I'm going to fill in the outline so I can see it better. I'll put to together a couple of pics of the template before and after I've altered it and add them later to this post. I do love the way the die cut turned out AND it cuts those teeny tiny bees, too? Boy were they something to glue! So back to the studio to make another one only a "birthday" card this time. LOL
(Edit: CASEd a card by Angella Crockett an ODBD DT.) supplies:
paper: bazzill (bling, unknown pink)
ef: cuttlebug (musical notes)
dies: spellbinders (label 4) ODBD (clover)
stamps: ODBD (simple things; sentiment & clover)
inks: memento (tuxedo black); t.h. distress (spun sugar)
misc: prisma pencils, pearls, velvet ribbon

!HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Hope your holidays were fantastic! And you're off to a good start for 2012. My start hasn't been so good. Coldest days we've had in Central FL and no heat and plumbing troubles. So I've been busy scheduling and working with repairmen. UGH.
Enough of my woes let's get on to my project.............
Now I must apologize for the quality of the pics. The card is pink & white but in some of the pics it has a yellowish/orange overtone. The first pic above is a true color.
I am entering this in:
Joan's Gardens Challenge #1 -
■Make a card and/or tag using some kind of hearts
■Use any kind of embellishments
■Use, pink or red with white
■Do some kind of embossing
Outlawz Twisted Thursday - Use Punches and Die Cuts TT010512
Last But Not Least Challenge - use something new
My new tool is the MS Swirling Lace around the page punch set and what you can't see; Glubber dots under the rose.
I saw this format on Chocolate Crafts and Bears OH My blog. You can see it here. Carol had links to where she found it and to a video she did of how to do all the folding. I believe Carol called a 'napkin fold' card. Anyway, I fell in love with this when I saw on Heartfelt Creations Wednesday blog post and went over to Carol's to see more of it. Isn't it great! I've included several photos so you can really see how 3 dimensional it is.
I'm not one to do Valentine's but when I started playing around with this pattern this just sort of evolved to meet the challenge requirements. And I so love the way it turned out!
