WOYWW #182!  Wow... we're coming up on the end of the year and I'm going strong with posting to WOYWW. For the deets about WOYWW pop over to Julia's blog HERE.  And you're right, Julia, we are addicted and I treasure the new friends I've made along way!!!!

My desk is a bit of a mish mash...nothing productive at the moment. Just trying out some new to me techniques...faux leather using ink refresher and perfect pearls (thanks Neil for the post). Still haven't decided what direction to take the metal piece hiding off to the side (it will be a gift), a piece of wood covered in masking tape and gesso and the start of another clock (also a gift but no need to hide it as he doesn't use the Internet). Oh and I tried my hand at making some ATCs, the horses in the back and the butterfly hanging on the center divider.

So there you have pop on over to Julia's for the links and go cruising round the world to what all the peeps are doing. I am!

Heartfelt Creations

Well the days do get away from me...  Today I have a couple of cards for you using a new paper pack from Heartfelt Creations October collection - Delicate Asters. Love their new d.p.!  It's two sided and has such pretty images on the paper, which makes it a breeze to whip up a quick card.

I am a card essence... I make cards that rarely get sent.  My bad. These two lovely cards went to a couple of dear friends. They'll probably go into shock upon receiving them. :)

For the first card I fussy cut parts of the main image but left it attached. To that I've added a small die cut aster and a set of leaves. The sentiment is also HC and was stamped directly onto the d.p.  Hopefully, the second pic shows the fussy cut leaves and all of the tips of the larger petals in better detail.

For the second card (3rd pic) again, I fussy cut some of the main image. Under the bud I slid a sentiment panel, part of the dp. Printed sentiment panels! Isn't that cool?! Since this is a sympathy card I did not add any embellishments. I'm always afraid I'll over do it on this type of card so I keep them pretty CAS.

For more inspiration using the new Heartfelt Creations designer paper check out their blog here. This month they are debuting the Timeless Amour collection.

paper: heartfelt creations delicate asters; bazzill
ink: ranger distress ink
that's it! so very CAS for me! :)

Charms Galore!

Happy Thanksgiving to those in the USA!

As promised in my WOYWW post yesterday I'm posting the special ordered charms I've been working on the past couple of weeks. One set is for Halloween, where I was asked to make as many charms as I could with the supplied paper, any style. Boy, is it difficult to photograph glossy accents and not get a terrible glare! So in the semi-light of early morning I was able to get some decent pics. I really wanted you to be able to see the stickles and how some of it bled into the g.a., like the orange.

Then we have 10 Christmas charms. The request for these was to leave the back blank and they needed to fit onto gift bags. The woman is using them a tags for her office party gifts. How cool is that! So the back of the charms is just a cream colored paper with a small holly stamp in one corner.  Plenty of room to write a name. The dangles for these gave me pause as I wasn't sure how to attach the head pin to the charm.  So I used a 4" head pin and wound the excess on my spring winder! Pretty cool. Love the itty bitty springs on these dangles!

Have a wonderful day everyone! I'll have another post later in the week.
