WOYWW 197

Hey there my WOYWW friends,

Just a quick post today as I'm on my way to Daytona Beach and Bike Week!! Thousands of peeps and bikes as in Harley Davidson motorcycles and some of those others. :) Since we won't return home until late and tomorrow I'm teaching a class, I will try visit some Thursday eve but most likely it'll be Friday.

So my desk shows my prep work for the Craft Barn Alpha challenge . In the upper left are some ATCs I'm working on, including my version of my swap ATC (orange one). And in the lower center is my mini vintage cabinet board from last week's desk pic. The texture on this is all of the paint I scraped off my craft mat. The scrapings were still a bit damp so I stuck them on the mini and added a coat of clear gesso. And they stayed put! I've added a sentiment from Artistic Outpost and some teeny tiny micro beads. I'll mount this mini to a larger page to add to my quote album. Oh the quote is a partial from the Harry Potter author.

Well that's all for me today. I'm off to... Celebrate the day....

Almost forgot, for the deets on why I'm showing my
work crafty desk visit Julia at The Stamping Ground.

I'm going to have to check out that challenge, and to answer your question, that's real trim on the book. It's upholstery trim, but I painted it and crayoned on it.

Thank you for your visit this week, I appreciate you stopping by!
    Happy WOYWW!

  26. Belated WOYWW greetings.. thanks for visiting me too. I love your desk and tag - thats a lovely quote. Hope you had a nice time at Daytona too. You asked a question about my avatar -
Thank you. I have altered my original design which started off like this (in my January posting) http://gibbyfrogettcraftations.blogspot.co.uk/2013/01/happy-new-year.html I have taken out the words and enlarged it all. Its a digital design I created using some photos i.e my DH hand and his watch, an ornate hairslide (eras and beak) some are drawings and things like cogs etc are digitally created.. have a good week...Gill x #49
