WOYWW 215

Good morning fellow Deskers and new visitors!

Not much going on on my desk this morning. A new bottle of copper alcohol ink finally arrived. Next to it is a bag of hardware for the faux burnt wood clock (almost finished). A new white ink pad from INX and piece of embossed cardstock I used to test the ink. WOW! I think I have found a white ink that will actually show up on dark card stock! Off to the left are a couple of new embossing folders waiting to be tried and a sneak peek of a corner of the infamous clock. Then front and center is another beautiful WOYWW4 ATC and card received from Ramona at Create With Joy!

I'm off to visit as many desks as I can today. I've been a bit lax in my visiting lately, hope to do better this week. :) If you find yourself in a need of an explanation of what I'm talking about...give our intrepid hostess, Julia a visit. All the deets and desk links can be found on her blog, The Stamping Ground.

  10. Looking forward to seeing the completed clock. I've not decided what to do with mine yet. Maybe setting it to the correct time would be a start ;-)

Don't you love when you find 'the' tool that does what you want? Congrats on the white ink.

  15. Hi Nan!

To find a white ink that's actually white on dark card stock -- wow! I've bought a few white pens but somehow they don't come across that white. I even tried white out!

I'm not participating in WOYWW this week (again). I wanted to thank you for popping over and leaving a comment on my July 4 post. I really enjoyed taking photos of the old cars.

    Hugs,
    Kay

  16. Now this is why I like WOYWW cos now I know I can safely buy that ink and it will work...I saw it the other day and thought to myself that I was not going to spend money on something that might not do what I wanted it to...Thanks for doing the testing and showing us all...guess where I am going today? Thanks for your visit to my desk already.

  20. White doesn't always show up does it, I usually throw white embossing power over it and then heat set it, but sometimes you want things to happen 'quick! Have a great week, thanks for my snoop!! Happy (late) WOYWW!!??

  25. Look forward to seeing your clock. I haven't been on WOYWW for a while - but I visit those desks with the same last number as mine first - then if I have time go back & look at others. This way I know I will visit quite a few. #74

  26. I LOve stampin up white craft ink...I have yet to find a cardstock it doesn't shine on...I also use a Uniball White Gel pen that shows up well. I have yet to finish my second batch of ATC but will be mailing as soon as I get them done. I hope yours shows up here! How do you know it is lost? Vickie #121

  27. I recently went on a white ink search too... and I agree the Jasmine Inx Chox works the best on dark card stock and dark spray inks. I find I have to heat set it pretty well though.... but still easier than embossing it. LOL Not that embossing is hard, but just an extra step that sometimes I just don't want to do! HA! My next fave white ink for non-embossing is StazOn.
