WOYWW 219, NBUS & tape tape tape

My thanks to Ms. Dunnit our WOYWW hostess for opening mr. linky a bit earlier than usual (wee hours of the morn her time) which makes it great for those of us a few time zones behind the UK. It's nice to be playing working on a Tuesday night and take my desk pic and link up then go back to work playing. :) Do pop over to The Stamping Ground and join us in the world's greatest blog hop!

Now my desk tonight... I have employed the p&s technique (push & shove) to make a little room to play around with a NBUS stamp set from ginakdesigns. Trying to decide if I should keep it or sell it. I've also been doing a bit of repair on one of the first ATCs I've ever made that used a playing card as the background. I'll post her in detail at a later date. You'll also spot my wood squares with a layer of masking tape on them. I've used Glue and Seal for any loose edges and as a sealer over the entire surface. Might be sorry 'bout that, as I'm not too sure how the alcohol inks will react with it. We'll see.....stay tuned to this channel for further details. :)

I have a question for my Desker friends...anyone in the USA know of a source for Bazzill Linen card stock? I usually buy from Discount Cardstock but their shipping charges are...ouch! Appreciate any suggestions you might have.

I'll be stopping in for a snoop throughout the next few days and hope to visit more desks this week. Unfortunately, I didn't get a chance to visit everyone who stopped by last week. That's what's so cool about Deskers...they understand life does interrupt our hopping at times

Have a crafty week! and...

Celebrate!

  2. Oh yes, i totally understand. Life gets in the way at times.

I'm not a scrapbooker, but my friend Kathy is. She found a LSS that sold EVERYTHING Bazill. The reason I know is because I ran my hand over the linen card stock when we looked at every single design and color they had to offer. Sorry I can't leave a link because they went out of business, but that might be where you could check first, if there's one in your area.

  3. Hi Nan, can't help with the Bazil, in Oz and I haven't found my 'go to' scrap shop yet! I like the push and shove it all out of the way for small moments then it all gets too much and I have to clear the area. Happy WOYWW from #9

  6. The price of postage has gone up everywhere, unfortunate really. I am curious as to how the alcohol inks will stack up agains the blocks.

  8. Hi Nan,

Boy, do I know about life getting in the way. It's been so long since I've joined in WOYWW. Not to mention that I haven't even been posting on a regular basis.

Sorry I can't help with the linen paper. I hope you find a distributor that has a decent shipping rate.

    Happy WOYWW
    peace,

  9. I've employed the P&S technique quite a few times myself.... hehehehe! Before I forget... Michaels sells Bazzill and I stock up when it's on sale or have one of the nifty 50% off entire purchase coupons they come out with once in a while. Just check the stickers or label edge of paper to make sure it's not the thinner and cheaper-made Recollections brand cardstock. I usually like the Recollections Michaels brand for things, but not their paper... awful stuff I think. Your projects on your desk shows you're having fun again this week! The ATC looks great and cant wait to see it when it's finished. The stamps on the bookpage are cool too. And interesting wood blocks! Enjoy your projects!!

  27. Lol, I love how everyone is so accustomed to the push and shove technique. I am and expert at the shoving - shoving things anywhere they can fit to only forget where I shoved them......lol. I am loving your stamped design with the script and foliage currently on your desk. Have a great week. Danie (a very late #133)

  29. Hi Nan, thank you for visiting my WOYWW, yesterday, and yes I am a promarker girl, just waiting on the new Autumn/Winter colours to complete my set...the boxes on the left are promakers in a DVD rack, and empty DVD's with the colours marked and Promarkers lying flat, the ones in the plastic boxes on the desk are the ones that don't fit in, LOL, think a new DVD rack needed, but where to put it, LOL xxxx Avril #91
