WOYWW ......EEK!

Hey there Deskers!

Where's the bug spray when you need it?!

All kidding aside...I had a blast making these guys. If they were real they'd be squashed....as I can't stand....spiders! Saw a video the other night of how to make a spider pin. Thought to myself... I have the right size beads to make these. Well, my beads were two sizes bigger than used in the video so my spider pins are stand alone tarantulas! Do you not love them?! I do!

So on my desk night are beads, lots of beads, two types of glue, packaging to mail the critters off and tools. This post might spoil the surprise for one of the recipients hopefully she won't see this till Thursday. :)

Wondering why I'm showing you my cluttered desk? Stop by The Stamping Ground for all the deets. Join us as we hop around the world snooping and peeking in on what others are up to. All the links can be found at Julia's.

Please leave your link number so I can pay a return visit. Google+ peeps I try to leave comments, not always successful. Was able to snoop out about 60 desks last week....woo hoo!

Celebrate living!

Edit: here's the link for the video showing how to make a spider pin. Have fun. YouTube spider video

  1. I'm not a fan of spiders either, Nan! Funny how, just when you start to leave summer behind and, you think, the critters with it - Halloween comes and back they are!

    Happy WOYWW from #2!

  5. Those spiders are great! Thank you for stopping by my space. I will answer your question; my friend typed the calendars up on her computer. Then she printed off the 12 months for me to copy. Last year she even did the copying and cutting for my birthday! :) She makes about 15 sets too!

  18. We have a large amount of spiders here on the campsite - we call them Esmereldas. They are very prettily marked and not at all like your tarantulas!!!
Must take hours to make them so I think a congratulations on your spiders is in order.
    Have a great day

  21. I'm with you on spiders - need a bug catcher to get them and put them outside - otherwise they get squashed! Yours are of the harmless variety though and don't half look cute. What a set of great makes.

  28. Yikes, they look ready to walk off once the photo was taken.. I'd be checking under the desk to make sure they hadn't come to life. They do look rather fab and life like.

  29. Yikes those are scary! You should make more and dangle them around your front porch at Halloween. They'll probably keep the kids away and then you can eat all that chocolate yourself!! And yes, right on both counts, ornaments and I have a slight cold too! But I like fresh squeezed juice anyway.

  30. Oooh, beadlings! Love them. I have a book someplace for making all sorts of interesting critters from beads, and of course a TON of beads so I really should marry the two and have a play. FAB spiders!

  49. Fan-tas-tic spiders! I'd rather not find one in the bath, but, like Annie, I'm a big cobweb-admirer (except when they get in my hair) - one of the great wonders of nature.
