WOYWW and Be The. . .

Hi y'all...

I'm early yet appears I am late! Wow, Julia really threw a monkey in the wrench by opening the linky early! :) Lucky her on holiday in Spain!

Well, here's my desk as I leave Tuesday evening. I've finally had a chance to play with one of TH's CC102 techniques...chalkboard. Now lots of peeps are doing this but they use embossing powder, Mr. Tim used school chalk. I didn't have any chalk sticks so I used my NBUS SU chalks in white, black and orange.

I've used Artistic Outpost Gothic plate and their Chalkboard Wisdom plate on this tag and as the watermark stamping on the card base. Throw in an inked paper doily, a rickety house die cut and some spider webbing........and there's my version of a Halloween card.

Please leave your WOYWW number and I'll do my best to pay a return visit. Google+ users, I am stopping by but sometimes can not add a comment. Sorry :(

Have wonderful week. As the saying goes, "See you in the funny papers" :)

Celebrate laughter!

  17. Hi Nan! What a fun and fantastic technique and tag! I've been MIA while I spent some time along the NC coast and secretly enjoyed being not so technology dependent... I'll have to do the 102 class after the fact since I was gone during the 'live' time.

  18. Great tag Nan! I wish I had had the time to take the class, but as we all know life just has a way of getting in the way of playtime, and I am still on the run.
    Have a great week

  20. Oh no! The chalk technique using real chalk?! I hope this doesn't catch on near me as I'm so deathly allergic to chalk. I like the look of both the real chalk version and the embossing powder stuff but it brings back too many bad school day memories. *cough*cough*

  23. I can't believe you didn't have real chalk. You can use chalk to get oil stains out of fabric...chalk goes in with the silverware and in your jewelry box of silver to retard tarnish....I guess you didn't know. Very trendy chalk tag...I love the quote.Be well Carole #40

  24. Nan, I love the tag and card. I bought sidewalk chalk at The Dollar Tree, or maybe Big Lots a few years ago. Hope you have one close to you. I got six pieces of different colored chalk for $1.00. Not sure you want to invest in the project any further, since I'm not familiar with this technique and not a TH person.

I DO love what you created, though. Great for Halloween, I think. Happy WOYWW from #7.

  25. I forgot to mention, I have trouble with G +, too. I think google wants us all to switch and I refuse. Too many problems and pitfalls.

  28. Hi Nan,

Love the tag! Your substitutions worked perfectly. I like the chalky look.

I'm not sure about the whole google+ thing. I have a gmail account and use blogger and I keep getting these reminders that google is going away soon.... who knows what it all means and I don't want to take the time to research it.

Thank you for visiting me already. I actually had time to visit a few people today.

    Happy WOYWW
