Merry Christmas #238

Yes there a few of us that will be WOYWW hopping today. Though some of my day will be spent in the company of good friends. We'll play cards, gab and eat too much fabulous food!

My desk as I leave it Tuesday night.

Using some leftover bits of rusted crinoline, might become a piece of a collage. Since I was gluing I glued down a heart and what looked to me like a tree which has a layer of distress rock candy glitter. There's some glassine trees and my pack of files. And a cd which I am attempting to turn into a clock. If I can get the paper to stick!

Here's my inspiration for trying to work with CDs...a clock I won from Karen the Clock Lady. Click here to go to her Blog.

Hope everyone has a wonderful day. I'll pop by tonight and tomorrow. Now if you are clueless as to what I'm talking about stop by Julia's the Stamping Ground for all the deets and links. Then enjoy visiting folks all over the world on this Christmas Day 2013!

Merry Christmas!
from Nan, T and Baby.

  2. Merry Christmas, Nan, T, and Baby. Great idea to make a clock. I recently glued old book pages to a CD, which may be too thin to copy for your project. I used Elmer's glue on mine, then swiped over the glued page with a faux credit card. When I was sure all the bubbles were out, I placed the piece under a heavy book. Not sure that will work for you, but that might be the way to get your paper to hold.

Merry Christmas and happy WOYWW from #1. Bleubeard sends his meowy love, too.

  3. Is there any thing that makes crafters crazy more than finding the RIGHT adhesive? Love your clock. I wonder if m stash of waxed paper can mimic glassine? :)

    Happy WOYWW Christmas!

  20. Hi Nan and Happy Christmas and WOYWW!
I agree, as long as the floor was clean, the dogs bathed and their toys so that little Kenny didn't get too many germs, but I wanted to do the bathrooms as people would need to use them (downstairs one for everyone, and upstairs one as the dogs were bathed in the bath and my guests staying over will use it)!
I am feeling more comfortable now, been taking painkillers all day instead of just night. I went upstairs earlier and my good knee was giving way coming back down!
Love your clock by the way!

  33. Hi Thanks for visiitng me, Yes the tree is lovely, and she is really sly because I actually saw a bit of the tree on her desk when visiting her, and she was very cool about it being for someone, I never guessed that someone was me.
I have learned something new today, you mention glassine so I had to google it and now I want some.
That clock frm KAren is gorgeous, lucky you.

  34. Hi Nan! I visited Christmas night, but blogger just would not let me leave a comment then, but I love the clock you won and wanted to come back to leave a comment! Perfect for you since you have cats! Also I think glossy accents would work for you to adhere the paper to a cd, but I've never tried it. Hope you have a Happy, Healthy, Creative and Prosperous New Year!
