WOYWW 240!

. . . another year begins.

I'm in the midst of sorting and purging my room of stash. Today I was sorting dies, specifically, Nesties. I keep them in CD/DVD cases and had kept the two sizes in separate boxes until now. I've reduced my collection to five 3 liter storage boxes and combined all of the CD/DVD cases. Keeping them all together means I can sort them alphabetically. A little OCD but it works for me.

I did manage a little bit of craftiness tho, reworked my Florida snowflake. It still has a ways to go before it's finished.

Leave your WOYWW number and I'll do my best to pay a return visit. My apologies for not getting 'round to all who visited me last week. It was a rather unsettling week at my place.

But it's a New Year and times will get better!

Warm hugs to all.
Nan

  1. Golly - that's some fearsome organisational skills going on there! And you're allowed to be as OCD as you like in how you arrange your stash, I'd say.

The beaded snowflake is so pretty... looking forward to seeing how it progresses.

Good luck with the purge (sorry to make it harder!).

  11. Hi Nan,

I could only dream of being that organized! My heart skips a beat in envy.

Hmm, you asked if I've filed down the edges of the bottle caps. I hadn't thought of that. I'm going to flatten them a bit and I have an oval jump ring to put between the ear wire and the bottle cap. I'll be experimenting with other bottle caps before I make these. Thanks for the suggestion and I'll keep you posted!

    Happy WOYWW

  13. Since I'm all about organization, I adore that you have shown how you are paring down and purging. Seems it's that time of year, too.

I saw even your neck of the woods was getting a cold spell, so I hope you have a way to heat your home. I know many in FL don't have central heat in their homes. Happy WOYWW from #5.

  14. Hi Nan, thanks for stopping by. I found some youtube videos for finishing off and the other stitch. Very easy and when I saw it I remembered! :-) However, when I finished off my project tonight the last loop is too long. So something went wrong. Ah well. I'll fix it somehow when I "sew" the end into the scarf. Love your Florida snowflake! Brigita #80

  17. A little OCD works for me Nan :-) I am one very frustrated sewing lady at the mo cos everytime I have a job to do I have to search my boxes to find what I need! I like a place for everything and everything in it's place...can't wait to get moved now! :-)

  18. Oh dear, Nan, sorry to hear last week was unsettling. Now thinking lots of things.
Love how you have been tidying and if the die cut system works for you then it. Is the right one.

  19. That is a clever idea for storing dies, our dvd boxes have a lump in the middle that is not removable so it doesn't work here. Now that is one really pretty Florida Snowflake, I don't understand the Florida part though, can you explain.
